How to play Hardcore in Minecraft Bedrock

Although Minecraft may initially appear straightforward, playing alone in the dark with no food and being surrounded by creepers can quickly become terrifying. However, players with the Bedrock version of the game were previously unable to experience the heightened intensity of Hardcore mode. That is, until now.

Mojang has recently included Hardcore mode in Minecraft Bedrock. In the Preview 1.21.0.20 update for this version, the developer has incorporated numerous new features that were previously only available in the Java Edition, such as Hardcore mode.

The steps to playing Hardcore in Minecraft Bedrock are straightforward. Begin by launching the game and creating a new world. Then, locate the ‘Enable Hardcore Mode’ toggle and activate it.

That’s essentially all there is to it – you can now start playing Minecraft in Hardcore mode. Keep in mind that this mode is currently in its experimental stage, so there may be some glitches and issues.

When considering why Mojang did not include Hardcore mode in Bedrock earlier, the reasoning remains unclear. The prevalent explanation is the unstable state of this particular version of the game. Bedrock is often referred to as ‘bugrock’ due to its abundance of glitches, surpassing even the number of diamonds found in a mineshaft.

It is possible that the developer’s intention was to prevent players from losing all their progress and items due to a frustrating bug by not allowing them to die in Hardcore mode. This would have greatly diminished the overall gaming experience. The delayed addition of Hardcore mode may have enabled the studio to offer fans a more reliable and enjoyable gameplay experience.

Additionally, the most recent Bedrock preview introduced Ominous Trials to the game. These trials can be found in a trial chamber with a bad omen and can only be accessed by defeating the trial spawner. Once completed, players will receive the ominous trial key which unlocks the ominous vault containing highly sought-after loot.
