In Ark Survival Ascended, standard methods of taming, such as knocking out or feeding, are not effective for taming a Wyvern. The only successful approach is to hatch a Fertilized Wyvern Egg, typically obtained by stealing from the nests of Wild Wyverns. These eggs are available in four distinct types: Fire, Lightning, Poison, and Ice.

The most difficult part is getting an egg, as the nests are typically protected by a pack of Wyverns who will chase after anyone who attempts to steal one.

To successfully execute a heist, you can employ a domesticated Rock Elemental to defeat the Wyverns protecting the nest. The creature is immune to breath attacks and can effectively reduce physical damage.

Instead, a faster flying creature can be used to quickly escape from the Wyverns. Nonetheless, it is crucial to obtain Wyvern Milk from an Alpha or female Wyvern for a newly hatched Wyvern, making it more feasible to eliminate them.

Upon obtaining a Wyvern Egg, it must be incubated at a temperature between 80 and 90 degrees Celsius / 176 and 194 degrees Fahrenheit. An Egg Incubator is necessary for this process and can hold up to 10 Wyvern Eggs at a time, allowing for the chosen temperature to be maintained.

Upon emerging from its egg, your Wyvern’s sole source of sustenance will be Wyvern Milk until it reaches adulthood. As mentioned earlier, this crucial nourishment can only be obtained from a female or Alpha Wyvern. A female Wyvern will yield five milk, while an Alpha Wyvern will yield 50. Therefore, taking down an Alpha Wyvern is the most effective way to acquire this item.

Once your Wyvern reaches maturity, you will gain complete control over your successfully tamed creature. Furthermore, if you have adult Wyverns of the same species, you can breed them to increase their numbers.
