Acquiring Mega Crabominable in Pokemon Legends: Z-A Mega Dimension

Where to Find Crabominite

To obtain Crabominite, players need to complete a side mission located inside a 2-Star Hyperspace distortion. This specific distortion can be found just north of Wild Zone 17 in Lumiose City, specifically after finishing Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No.1.

On your map, look for a distortion marked with a yellow border and a question mark. This occurrence is unique and does not reset like other Hyperspace Wild Zones based on the time of day.

Once you enter the zone, you will encounter an NPC named Boris, who initiates Side Mission 141: Rogue Mega Showdown. It’s recommended to use a Pokémon at level 100 as your main battler and bring a Donut that is +20-30 levels above your average Pokémon, as the Mega Crabominable you will face ranges from level 110 to 120 and are extremely aggressive.

Strategies for Defeating Mega Crabominable

Defeating two Mega Crabominable battling on the ice is key to obtaining the Crabominite. These Pokémon are Fighting/Ice-types and exhibit a 2x vulnerability to Fire, Fighting, Flying, Psychic, Steel, and Fairy-type moves.

Both Mega Crabominable will use the following moves:

Earthquake
Dynamic Punch
Rock Smash
Ice Punch

Utilizing bulky Fairy-type Pokémon can be the most effective strategy in this battle, although Psychic and Fighting-types also fare well. It’s advisable to avoid Fire or Flying-types due to their susceptibility to the moves used by the Crabominable.

Locating Crabominable in Pokemon Legends: Z-A

Unlike the Mega Pokémon available during main mission Hyperspace Surveys, Mega Crabominable cannot be caught during this side mission. To use the Crabominite, you’ll first need to acquire a Crabominable:

Evolve a Crabrawler into Crabominable: Crabrawler can be found in 1-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones. You’ll need an Ice Stone to evolve it.
Catch a Crabominable directly: Search for Crabominable in 4-Star Hyperspace Wild Zones, which become available after completing Hyperspace Lumiose Survey No.5 (Rogue Mega Heatran).

Once you’ve acquired a Crabominable, equip it with the Crabominite to enable its Mega Evolution during battles.
