While many would assume that both phones are similar in every aspect, Google has chosen to limit certain features, such as Gemini Nano, to only the Pro variant. This decision is quite unexpected, especially considering that both phones utilize the same chipset. However, Google has now decided to backtrack on this decision and provide support for the Pixel 8 as well.

Recently, Google revealed that the upcoming Pixel 8 will receive early access to Gemini Nano through the Pixel Feature Drop. This advanced AI technology will be utilized in two key features on the device: Smart Reply in Gboard and summaries in the Recorder app. Google also confirmed that this feature will eventually be available on the regular Pixel model as well.
