Transmitting Power to the Protocol Resonance Tower
Begin by completing the tutorial, which guides you in setting up your first relay tower in the factory zone.
Next, interact with the newly placed tower and extend a cable towards the designated quest location. This is where players often encounter their initial challenge: the initial cable may not extend far enough. To overcome this, instead of taking the longer path, run directly in a straight line from the relay tower to the quest marker, traversing over the hilltop for optimal cable length.
After successfully dragging the cable, place another relay tower at the highlighted location.
You’re now free to extend another cable from this second relay to power nearby electric switches, which can yield additional items for exploration. However, to advance the quest towards the main Protocol Resonance Tower, a crucial step is necessary: you must install an additional relay tower.
Many players overlook this point. In order to provide power to the Resonance Tower, you will need to place another relay tower between your second relay and the Resonance Tower itself. This is essential for ensuring the cable can reach its destination.
Without a highlighted marker to guide you, simply press Tab to open the construction hotbar, place a relay tower between your second tower and the Resonance Tower, and connect it with a cable. This final step will enable you to successfully transmit power all the way to the goal.
