Former champion references AJ Lee at WWE show

During the most recent episode of NXT, WWE wrestler Roxanne Perez mentioned AJ Lee.

Perez will have the opportunity to claim the NXT Women’s Championship in only four days when she competes against current titleholder Lyra Valkyria at the Stand & Deliver Premium Live Event.

Prior to their highly anticipated match, the two women had a joint appearance on Supernova Sessions. During their conversation, Roxanne boldly declared her intention to knock Lyra off her horse and witness her downfall. This statement could potentially be a nod to AJ Lee, who had previously used similar wording in a promo with Kaitlyn in the past.

“I’m gonna knock you off your high horse and watch you fall all the way down,” Roxanne Perez said.

Despite her injuries and other obligations, AJ Lee left a lasting impact on the women’s division during her time in WWE. As a three-time Divas Champion, she was a prominent figure and her departure from the company was considered premature.

During a recent interview, CM Punk, who is married to AJ Lee, was questioned about the likelihood of her making a comeback to WWE. The Second City Saint suggested that it was unlikely, but he remained hopeful and mentioned that the opportunity is still available.

It will be interesting to see if AJ Lee ever chooses to return to professional wrestling in the ring.
