Former bantamweight Muay Thai king Nong-O Hama shares the secret to longevity as a ‘Nak Muay’

Nong-O Hama, a former multiple-time ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world champion and renowned Thai legend, is widely recognized as one of the most accomplished ‘Nak Muay’s, or practitioners of Muay Thai, in history. His dominance in the ONE Championship bantamweight Muay Thai division has been long-standing, and he has recently shared the key factors behind his remarkable achievements.

In a recent interview with Sportsmanor, Nong-O shared the secrets behind his legendary status in ‘The Art of Eight Limbs’ and how he has been able to maintain his reign as king for such a long time.

The Muay Thai veteran, who is 37 years old, stated:

“I think the most important thing for longevity is that you have to get good rest, eat good food, and just, you know, get good training, train effectively. I would say in the past, when I was doing five rounds Muay Thai, I was a more technical fighter. So there weren’t a lot of times I got serious injuries. I’ve always tried to dodge a lot of attacks, and there were a lot of times that I left the ring [uninjured] and that has had a positive impact on my physical health as well.”

Nong-O Hama is a force to be reckoned with in the ring, consistently displaying his exceptional skills. With his precise techniques, Nong-O has a knack for analyzing his opponents and exploiting their vulnerabilities. As a result, he has earned a reputation as one of the most esteemed Muay Thai fighters in the sport’s history.
