Sony’s Upcoming State of Play Event: Major PS Plus Announcements Expected
This week, Sony is gearing up to launch its first State of Play event of 2026. Scheduled for Thursday, this hour-long showcase promises a variety of announcements. A recent report from Billbil-kun at Dealabs has strongly hinted at one of the highlights: the addition of new titles to the PS Plus Extra Catalog for February 2026, with Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 taking center stage.
Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man Series Expands
The first installment of Insomniac’s Spider-Man franchise, specifically the remastered edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man, was included in the PS Plus Extra library back in August 2025. Additionally, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales has already been available in the catalog, allowing subscribers to enjoy all three major Spider-Man games from Insomniac as part of their subscription.
Additional Titles Coming to PS Plus Extra
According to the Dealabs report, Neva, a highly anticipated sequel to the acclaimed game Gris developed by Nomada Studio, will join the catalog alongside Spider-Man 2. Furthermore, enthusiasts can look forward to Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown being featured as well.

Expected Catalog Additions and Subscriber Benefits
While the report mentions just these three titles, it’s likely there will be more games announced on Thursday. As always, it’s wise to approach any leaks related to major announcements with some skepticism. However, given Dealabs’ track record, it seems highly probable that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Neva, and Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown will indeed join the PS Plus Extra lineup this February.
In addition, all tiers of PS Plus subscribers already have access to a variety of games this month, including Undisputed, Ultros, Subnautica: Below Zero, and Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, which were also leaked in advance by Dealabs.
As the gaming community anticipates this event, players can look forward to exciting new additions to their PS Plus experience this February.
