Fans were filled with emotion as BTS member J-Hope marked his military discharge, sharing a touching post that included Jimin’s doodle on the practice room mirror. The fan community learned from the group’s official YouTube channel that this artwork was created by Jimin during the song “Closer Than This”while he was mastering the choreography.
Following the completion of his required military service, J-Hope took a nostalgic trip to the practice room where he captured a photo of Jimin’s artistic creation. Fans expressed heartfelt sentiments regarding this adorable moment between the two beloved members, known affectionately as ‘JiHope.’
“Seeing Hobi taking a picture of Jimin’s doodle on the mirror… I’m so emotional,”
“It was incredibly SWEET! So sweet. I’m just in love with BTS. They are all such genuine people.”- a fan commented on X.

J-Hope of BTS Wraps Up His 18-Month Military Service
J-Hope completed his service in the South Korean armed forces on October 17, 2024, finishing his nearly 18-month commitment. He becomes the second BTS member to wrap up military service, following Jin, who completed his duty in June 2024.
The transition back to civilian life has sparked joy not only among his fans but also within his bandmates. Jin visited J-Hope at his military base in Wonju, Gangwon Province, while TXT members showered him with flowers and handwritten cards—a gesture which J-Hope proudly showcased during his Weverse live stream.
During his inaugural Weverse live after his discharge, J-Hope spoke candidly about how overwhelming his military experience was and the pressure he felt regarding his upcoming schedule.
Jimin Expected to Conclude His Military Service by June 2025
Jimin enlisted on December 12, 2023, and his military service is expected to conclude by June 11, 2025. Prior to his enlistment, he released his debut album titled “Face,”featuring two singles, “Set Me Free Pt. 2″and “Like Crazy.”This achievement catapulted Jimin to become the first solo Korean artist to top the Billboard Artist 100 chart.
During his time serving, BigHit Music launched Jimin’s second solo album “Muse”on July 19, which came along with singles “Who”and “Smeraldo Garden Marching Band.”
