Elden Ring Nightreign: New DLC Unveiling Exciting Content
FromSoftware has shifted its approach by introducing a cooperative play experience with the highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign. This roguelike addition to the acclaimed Elden Ring franchise debuted to overwhelming enthusiasm earlier this year. Following a series of free updates, players can now look forward to the launch of its first official DLC expansion, The Forsaken Hollows, which is set to enhance gameplay with an array of captivating features.
New Characters and Gameplay Mechanics
Among the exciting new playable characters is The Scholar, an academic character who roams the mystical Lands Between. Armed with arcane magic and a trusty cane, The Scholar is poised to tackle the formidable creatures that inhabit this realm. Additionally, players will encounter The Undertaker, a formidable combatant who skillfully blends strength-based weaponry with faith-infused magic to confront the menacing Nightlord.
Fan-Favorite Boss Returns
Fans of the Dark Souls series will be delighted to discover that A certain beloved boss from the Artorias of the Abyss DLC is making a triumphant return, promising to bring nostalgia alongside the new challenges.
Explore a New Biome
The expansion also unlocks a brand-new biome for players who purchase the DLC, expanding the game’s Shifting Earth format. According to FromSoftware, the new area is characterized as,
“A great cavity in the depths of Limveld, strewn with exotic ruins and temples; sacred towers marking the remnants of an ancient civilization; and crystals that exude a cursed, life-draining miasma.”
DLC Release and Pre-Order Bonuses
The Forsaken Hollows DLC is scheduled for release on December 4 across various platforms including PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. It will be available for $15. Players who pre-order the DLC will receive a digital artbook and a mini soundtrack as bonuses. Additionally, owners of the Collector’s Edition or Deluxe Edition of the base game can rejoice, as they will gain access to the expansion at no additional cost.
