Does Roman Reigns still have cancer? Exploring his revelation 5 years into remission

Despite his return to the top of the WWE mountain in 2020, Roman Reigns has faced challenges in his career, including having to relinquish the WWE Universal Title and temporarily stepping away from the company due to his battle with Leukemia.

In SummerSlam 2018, Roman Reigns gained widespread recognition for defeating Brock Lesnar and claiming the Universal Championship. Sadly, his reign was brief as he was forced to relinquish the title in October due to his announcement on WWE RAW that he was battling Leukemia, a form of blood cancer. After taking time off to focus on his health, he made a triumphant return to Titanland in February 2019. Despite his return, some may question if The Tribal Chief is still affected by the illness.

In a recent airing of his WWE Legends biography, Reigns reflected on his encounter with Leukemia. He discussed the possibility of putting the deadly disease into remission if it is caught at an early stage. Fortunately, his initial diagnosis was not as severe. The Tribal Chief shared that there are highly effective medications available for the disease, and he continues to take them to prevent any potential return of Leukemia.

“For leukemia, if you caught it an early enough stage like I did, you’re able to take, essentially, a medication, a very potent medication that I’m still on to this day, but it’s pretty much just a conditioning of getting your body used to these toxic medications and just hoping for the best.”[H/T: Fightful]

Ultimately, Roma Reigns remains in remission and is not currently facing a severe case of Leukemia, all thanks to the effectiveness of the medications.
