Exciting News: Minecraft’s Mounts of Mayhem Update Launching Soon
Mojang, the developer behind the hugely popular game Minecraft, recently unveiled their upcoming update titled Mounts of Mayhem. This eagerly anticipated release, scheduled for December 9, brings a plethora of new content centered around the addition of various mounts, enhancing the game’s already rich sandbox environment.
Introducing Revolutionary Underwater and Undead Mounts
The most significant addition to Minecraft in this update is the Nautilus, an exciting underwater creature that players can tame. Found in ocean biomes, this mount allows for a unique gameplay experience, where riders equipped with a saddle can explore aquatic depths effortlessly. Thanks to the Breath of the Nautilus effect, players will benefit from unlimited oxygen while submerged, enabling them to traverse the ocean floor freely. Additionally, the Nautilus Armor offers protective gear for these new aquatic adventures.
However, players should remain vigilant; an undead variant of the Nautilus adds an element of challenge. This version is ridden by a Drowned mob armed with a trident, making ocean exploration more hazardous yet thrilling.
Meet the Fearsome Camel Husk
In the desert biome, players can also encounter the formidable Camel Husk, an undead mount that spawns with two hostile riders—one is a husk, and the other, a parched creature. Once players manage to defeat this duo, they can tame the Camel Husk using a rabbit’s foot. Notably, this mount has the advantage of being sunlight-resistant and, at a height of 2.375 blocks, it stands as the tallest mount introduced to the game so far.
New Weapons and Features
In addition to the new mounts, the update also introduces a brand-new tiered weapon—the spear. This weapon boasts a longer reach than traditional swords and includes jab and charge attack capabilities. Players can craft the spear using two sticks and an ingot, and it can be wielded even when mounted, adding depth to combat strategies.
Additional Features and Content
Further enhancements in the Mounts of Mayhem update include the introduction of Netherite horse armor and the appearance of zombie horses in Survival mode. Notably, various mounts, including the Horse, Donkey, Mule, Zombie Horse, and Camel, will gain swimming abilities, allowing for fluid movement across land and water.
Availability and Launch Platforms
The Mounts of Mayhem update will be available on December 9 across multiple platforms, including PC, consoles, and mobile devices on the Bedrock Edition, as well as the PC Java Edition. The anticipation builds as players prepare to explore these exciting new features.
