Comprehensive Guide to the Hunter Evolution Draft Event in Clash Royale

The highly-anticipated Hunter Evolution Draft has launched in Clash Royale. This engaging weekly event introduces the new Hunter Evo card, a fresh take on an existing character that has delighted players since its inception. The Evolution variant was officially unveiled with the Season 69 update, giving players an exciting twist to explore.

Participants will experience the thrill of unlocking Hunter’s unique ability after two gameplay cycles, as he ensnares foes using a net gun. This week-long event runs from March 3 to March 10, offering a prime opportunity to accumulate seasonal tokens and exchange them for exclusive rewards. Below, we delve into strategies to navigate and excel in the Hunter Evolution Draft Event.

Understanding the Hunter Evolution Draft Event

In the Hunter Evolution Draft of Clash Royale, players face a unique card selection challenge. Each participant has the opportunity to choose four cards from two provided options, with the unselected card being passed to the opponent. This system means players will only be aware of half the cards each participant holds at the start. If you have a chance to select the Evolved Hunter, be sure to choose it to harness its potential and gain a competitive edge in gameplay.

Strategies for Utilizing Hunter and Its Evolution

Hunter, classified as an Epic troop, aggressively advances towards adversaries while launching a barrage of fireballs at everything in his path. In this event, players can deploy him twice before unlocking his Evolution. To maximize his effectiveness in battles, position him strategically in front of powerful units or target low-health swarm troops, whether they are grounded or airborne. As Hunter engages in close-range skirmishes, it is advisable to deploy a support troop alongside him to mitigate damage and allow him to perform optimally.

Upon evolving in the Draft Event, while Hunter’s stats remain identical (a trait consistent with Evolution cards), he gains an exciting new attack method: launching a net at nearby opponents—whether on the ground or in the air. This net immobilizes the target, allowing Hunter to unleash a series of shotgun-style blasts. However, players should be mindful that the net’s duration is limited to four seconds, so it’s essential to position him in proximity to opponents to make the most of this window before it expires. After the net dissipates, Hunter Evo will deploy a second trap and continue firing at the trapped enemy until he is taken out.

Both forms of Hunter boast 884 HP and a mana cost of four Elixir, making him a compelling choice for mid-range tactics. However, caution is warranted against long-range threats, such as Electro Wizard, Princess, Baby Dragon, and Musketeer, as they can significantly weaken him from afar. To ensure his survival, consider pairing Hunter with defensive units like Skeleton Army, Royal Recruits, or a tank.

If the Evolved Hunter is not available during deck construction, prioritize selecting long-range attackers and be vigilant about not granting your opponent access to robust Legendary troops. Notably, Hunter exhibits vulnerability against units like the Prince; thus, if presented with the opportunity, selecting Prince could serve as an effective counter.
