Updated on January 23, 2026, by Somiya Adrees: With the full release of 2XKO on PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5, this guide has been refreshed to include the latest information on character unlocking and the introduction of new champions. Players can now acquire both new and favorite champions through in-game currencies showcased in their profile banners.

Unlocking Characters in 2XKO

As of now, 12 champions are available in 2XKO, with the promise of more to come. Each champion is equipped with a unique moveset featuring specials, ultimates, and assists that can be discovered in their Champion Profile, alongside a range of fun skins and taunts.

To unlock a champion in 2XKO: Navigate to the main game screen, click the helmet icon, select the locked champion, and choose the unlock section to utilize one of the following resources:

10, 000 Green Credits

KO Points are the premium currency obtained exclusively through in-game store purchases. In contrast, Champion Tokens are rarer but can be earned for free by completing specific challenges such as the Play First Fight, the 12 First Steps lessons, and during new season events.

For players on a budget, utilizing Green Credits is the most effective method for acquiring champions in 2XKO. These credits can be gained through casual matches or by completing daily, weekly, and featured missions. Daily missions provide a significant opportunity, as winning a casual match typically rewards only about 10 Green Credits, making mission completion a faster way to earn this currency.

Completing three daily missions can yield approximately 750 Green Credits per day, allowing players to accumulate the 10, 000 credits needed to unlock a champion in about 14 days. By also finishing weekly and featured challenges, which reward an additional 800 credits each, players may unlock a champion in less than a week.
