In Metroid Prime 4, after successfully navigating through the Great Mines and acquiring the Teleporter Chip from Tokabi in Sol Valley, players are challenged to locate six crucial mech parts. While veterans of the game may be familiar with some of these parts’ locations, tracking down all six can prove to be a daunting task. This comprehensive guide aims to assist players in pinpointing the whereabouts of each mech part, offering detailed insights and tips for successful retrieval.
Players can start their search for mech parts as soon as they arrive in Sol Valley for the first time. However, interaction with these items won’t be possible until they deliver the Teleporter Chip to Myles in Fury Green and obtain necessary Teleporter Patches.
Finding Mech Parts in Metroid Prime 4
Location #1: G. F.Debris
To locate the first G. F.Debris site, head southeast of the Fury Green entrance. You’ll encounter a vehicle crashed into a building at this location. Utilize your Psychic Lasso to maneuver the vehicle aside to uncover a chest protector. Once revealed, interact with the mech part to attach a Teleporter Patch.
Location #2: G. F.Debris
The second G. F.Debris can be found on the southern side of the map, nestled between the entrances to Volt Forge and Flare Pool. Look for the mech part situated on top of a building and interact with it to teleport.
Location #3: G. F.Debris
For the third G. F.Debris, visit the eastern edge of Sol Valley, located far from the Fury Green entrance. Here, approach a flashing capsule to trigger a fight with Varmis. To defeat this boss:
- Drive Vi-O-La into the orb at the end of Varmis’ tail.
- Use Morph Ball to enter its throat and place a Power Bomb next to the flashing capsule.
After the explosion, interact with the mech part to claim it.
Location #4: G. F.Debris
The fourth mech part is a mech arm affixed to a building at a G. F.Debris site in northern Sol Valley. Utilize a Thunder Shot to knock it to the ground, then interact with it to send it back to Myles.
Location #5: Entrance to Ice Belt
To find the mech part near the entrance to Ice Belt, follow these steps:
- Enter Ice Belt.
- Proceed past the elevator and use Psychic Grapple in the hallway to reach a higher path.
- Continue along this path until you arrive at an elevated area at the Ice Belt entrance where the mech part awaits.
Location #6: Flare Pool
The sixth and final mech part is located at Flare Pool. Return to the large lava pool area and descend the ramp leading toward it. Here, utilize a Super Missile to destroy the massive boulder at the base. Follow the newly uncovered path to its end, where you will scan a charged particle cannon. This action initiates a combat scenario with Behemoth. Once you defeat this formidable foe, you will be able to interact with the mech part.
