To initiate the expansion of the Core AIC Area in Arknights: Endfield, players need to complete the AIC Steward quest. Once completed, an AIC Steward will appear in the southeastern corner of your Core AIC Area.

Engaging with the AIC Steward will grant access to the area upgrade interface. Players are presented with two options: expanding the Core AIC Area or constructing a Depot Bus. It is essential to note that building a Depot Bus necessitates prior area expansion, making these upgrades interdependent.
