BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has garnered significant acclaim as she is set to be honored with the Madame Figaro Rising Star Award at the Cannes International Series Festival (Canneseries) in 2026. The award ceremony is scheduled for April 23, 2026, during the festival’s opening gala in the picturesque city of Cannes, France.
Announced by Canneseries on March 10, this prestigious accolade will highlight Jisoo’s growing influence within both the music and television industries. She will proudly walk the iconic pink carpet to receive her award, further elevating her status as a rising star. The festival will take place from April 23 to April 28.
The festival’s organizers have described Jisoo as not only a “global K-pop icon“but also an emerging television talent, framing the award as a recognition of her “promising personality”in the entertainment realm. This award, supported by French publication Madame Figaro, is focused on showcasing talents whose careers are significantly gaining international traction.
Canneseries’ artistic director, Albin Lewi, commended Jisoo for her “artistic journey, ”noting her remarkable ability to embrace new creative ventures and her captivating global presence as pivotal factors in her nomination.

Marking her acting debut in the 2021 drama Snowdrop, Jisoo has continued to develop her television credentials with her recent role in the Netflix series Boyfriend on Demand, thereby boosting her profile as an actress.
Born Kim Ji-soo in 1995, she became a household name as part of BLACKPINK, one of the most successful K-pop girl groups globally. According to News18, her endeavors in music have only enhanced her popularity. Jisoo also launched a solo career with her debut album Me, featuring the chart-topping single Flower, which has further broadened her appeal.
