To commence the ‘Weapons on a Rampage’ quest, head north along the path near Chadley’s position in the Sector 5 Slums. You’ll encounter a “scared man“who will trigger the quest. This NPC urgently requests Cloud and Aerith to locate and eliminate five of Shinra’s dangerous creations, affectionately dubbed ‘floating eyeballs, ’ referring specifically to the Mark II Monodrive enemies.

The first group of Mark II Monodrive monsters can be found on the north side of the Scrapyard Back Alley (highlighted in the left red box in the image).The subsequent group is located in the nearby Twilight Valley area (indicated in the right red box).It’s important to note that while the in-game map displays a green ‘Goal’ marker, it does not pinpoint the exact enemy locations, which may cause some confusion for players.

When confronted with the Mark II Monodrives, they will often generate a protective shield. To neutralize it, unleash a powerful magic attack. If you have the Wind Materia equipped on either Cloud or Aerith, the damage dealt will be amplified, although most magical attacks will suffice.

After vanquishing the fifth Mark II Monodrive, the game streamlines your progress by allowing you to return directly to the quest giver without needing to retrace your steps to town.
