Comprehensive Walkthrough for The Residence in Little Nightmares

Begin your journey in The Residence chapter with the Kid stationed atop the elevator, ready for the challenges ahead.

Your first step is to climb to the left bars and jump towards the hook. Utilize a swinging motion to leap through the adjacent window.

Crawl through the opening to find yourself in the Lady’s Quarters. Move right and enter the second archway you encounter.

Ascend the table and pull the rope to activate a lamp. Then, climb the shelves to uncover the first flotsam.

Continue forward and crouch down to stealthily cross the room, as the Lady is present, engrossed in combing her hair.

Next, climb to the second floor and shift the ladder to the right to ascend to the third level.

Use a stack of books as a stepping block and pull the lever to activate the globe.

In order to complete this puzzle, the Kid must align three lights to shine on the eyes above to close them. The horizontal lever controls which light is active, while the button rotates the light’s direction. Experiment with both controls until all three eyes are closed.

Once successful, aim at the fourth eye on the right to unlock the door leading into the next room filled with statues.
Here, players must press the buttons in the following order to solve the portrait puzzle:
- Second portrait on the left wall.
- First, second, and fourth portraits on the central wall.
- Second portrait on the right wall.

Proceed into the newly unlocked room but skip the statue to slip through a small hole in the wall.

Localize and open the second flotsam, found near three statues offering an item.

Using the shadows of the statues as cover, navigate to the left and toss a statue onto the button to unlock the door.

Retrieve the statue again and head back to the light puzzle, circumventing any lurking shadows, then take the small elevator down.

On the bottom floor, turn right to position the statue on the triangular pedestal.

Climb the stairs again, find the library, and push the ladder to the left before climbing it.

Once at the top, throw the book to the ground below before descending.

Next, gather the blue book and insert it into the gap on the right to complete the book pattern.

Also, take the red book you tossed earlier and place it in the center-right bookcase.

Lastly, obtain the yellow book and fit it into the center-left bookcase. This action reveals a secret entrance. Collect the fake statue resting on the table.

Exit the library and head to the second-floor room featuring the real statue. Remove it from the pedestal to trigger a trap, then swiftly substitute it with the fake statue.

Descend to the bottom floor and place the real statue on the square spot. This will extinguish any light source within the quarters, so keep the flashlight handy.
To earn the Ashes to Ashes Trophy, players can skip the book-related steps and proceed through the rooms as usual.

Now is the ideal moment to unlock the Ashes to Ashes Trophy. Return to the library to collect the last book adorned with a white mask.

Next, make your way to the bottom floor and head left into the Lady’s former grooming room. Immediately drop the book and focus your flashlight, as shadows will soon swarm the Kid.

After repelling the attackers, move left, placing the book back into the bookshelf near the elevator.

This grants access to a hidden room on the left, showcasing a jar atop a table. Climb to it and push the jar to break it, thus earning the Ashes to Ashes Achievement.

Return to the Lady’s chamber and ascend the left table to retrieve the key.

Proceed to the second floor, riding the elevator up to the third, where you can unlock the door on the left.

As you explore the corridor, move towards the camera to uncover the third flotsam.

Upon entering the following room, be prepared as enemies will lance from every direction. Keep your flashlight ready and back off slowly to evade death.

Continue onwards while evading your foes and drag a chair towards you to operate the lever. Guard yourself against shadows while working the chair.

Advance into the next room where more shadows await. At the end, climb the ladder to reach another area.

Here, manipulate the large lever to unlock the door while fending off continuous shadow attacks. Steady hands are necessary since the door closes gradually once you release the lever.

After successfully dispatching the shadows, jump onto the piano and walk across the keys to reveal a hidden compartment behind the painting, allowing access to the fourth flotsam.

Approach the statue resembling The Maw and use its handle to open it, revealing the final statue inside. Jump to activate a light sconce that opens the door to the previous room where the fake statue was placed.

Head over to the right room on the bottom floor and slot the last statue into the circular spot.

In the ensuing scene, the Lady is starkly portrayed without her mask, gazing into a mirror. Upon noticing the Kid and realizing he has glimpsed her true visage, her rage surfaces, as all lights cease to exist, vanishing into the shadows.

Swiftly navigate forward, darting between the mannequins as the Lady pursues you down the corridor.

Enter the first right-hand room and proceed towards the far end to unveil the final flotsam, unlocking the I’m Losing You Achievement.

Return to the corridor and hastily run towards the camera; turn left to find an empty chamber, then exit to notice an open door on the right.

As the Kid dashes forward, the Lady suddenly appears, ensnaring him in her grasp.

After a moment of darkness, the Kid awakens in a new form as a Nome.

Navigate through door cracks and leap downwards, utilizing a laundry basket as a makeshift elevator to descend.

Traverse past the Guests indulging in their meals and jump through an opening in the adjacent room.
Proceed through another hole to reach the spot where Six lost control and consumed a Nome, revealing it to be the Runaway Kid. This chapter concludes with the Kid (now a Nome) staring at a sausage lying on the ground, earning the We’ll Meet Again Trophy.
