Nvidia Enhances GeForce NOW with RTX 5080 Server Upgrade
In a significant development for cloud gaming, Nvidia unveiled its hardware enhancement for the GeForce NOW platform back in September. This upgrade introduced the state-of-the-art Blackwell SuperPOD servers, which deliver performance equivalent to RTX 5080 graphics cards. Today, Nvidia has proudly announced the completion of this major update, marking a new era for subscribers in select regions.
Performance Highlights of RTX 5080 Servers
Ultimate membership holders can now access RTX 5080-level performance through Nvidia’s enhanced servers. While not every game in the service has received support for this upgrade yet, Nvidia promises an impressive gaming experience for those that do. Optimized features include:
- 5K resolution streaming at 120 FPS
- 360 FPS streaming at 1080p
- DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation for superior graphics
- Ultra-low latency for responsive gameplay
Nvidia is also celebrating the rollout of this upgrade with various contests and rewards for subscribers. More details can be found on the server upgrade page.
New Offer: GeForce NOW Chromebook Fast Pass
Furthermore, Nvidia has introduced the GeForce NOW Chromebook Fast Pass, a 12-month subscription designed for Chromebook users. This package enables 1080p streaming at 60 FPS without advertisements, providing a seamless gaming experience on Chromebook devices.
“It’s never been easier to turn a Chromebook into a high-powered gaming rig, ” stated the company.“Grab a Fast Pass, jump into the action, and enjoy your favorite PC games anywhere — whether at home or on the go. This offer is available for new Chromebook and Chromebook+ owners, as well as both new and existing GeForce NOW free users.”
