GMKtech Unveils Panther Lake Mini PC Featuring Up to 128 GB LPDDR5X-10677 MT/s RAM

Recent developments indicate that Intel’s Panther Lake architecture has the capability to support exceptionally fast LPDDR5X memory, exceeding previously disclosed specifications.

OEMs are beginning to showcase their initial prototypes powered by Intel’s Panther Lake processors. Among them, GMKtech, a leading Chinese OEM, has introduced its latest mini PC, which utilizes a premium Panther Lake WeU. Notably, the memory configuration appears to surpass Intel’s official announcements.

According to an official Intel presentation, Panther Lake chips are designed to support LPDDR5X memory with speeds of up to 9600 MT/s. However, the specification card for the EVO-T2 mini PC claims a remarkable capability of up to 10, 677 MT/s, all while accommodating a substantial 128 GB memory capacity. While this is exciting, it is important to note that the memory bus width is limited to 128 bits, resulting in a maximum bandwidth of 170 GB/s. Enhanced memory bandwidth is crucial for improved iGPU performance, optimized AI task handling, and managing parallel data operations efficiently.

The GMKtech EVO-T2 is expected to equip one of the higher-tier Core Ultra X9/X7 processors, featuring an integrated GPU with 12 Xe3 cores. It has a TDP (thermal design power) rating of up to 80 W and promises exceptional computational abilities, with a performance output of up to 180 AI TOPS, significantly outperforming current-gen Core Ultra Series 2 processors in AI-intensive tasks. The mini PC will also support a dedicated PCIe 5.0 M.2 slot along with an additional PCIe 4.0 M.2 slot for enhanced storage solutions.

In terms of storage, the EVO-T2 will accommodate up to 16 TB and will offer multiple connectivity options, including several USB Type A and a Type C port at the front. Although detailed information regarding the rear I/O ports has yet to be released, users can anticipate modern connectivity features there too. The EVO-T2 is slated for launch in the first quarter of 2026, and enthusiasts tracking Panther Lake’s developments should note the official CPU series launch is set for January 5, 2026.
