Acquiring Characters in Arknights: Endfield

In Arknights: Endfield, players can acquire characters through several methods:
- Utilizing banners
- Advancing the main storyline
- Purchasing a character’s Employment Contract from the Bond Quota Exchange
- Participating in special events
Utilizing Banners
The primary method of obtaining characters in Arknights: Endfield is through “Headhunting, ” which represents the game’s system for gacha banners that accept Permit currency. Players earn Permits and the premium currency Oroberyl during regular gameplay, and they also have the option to convert the premium currency, Origeometry, into Permits.
In line with traditional gacha mechanics, there is a permanent banner known as “Basic Headhunting, ”which utilizes Basic HH Permits, as well as a limited-time banner for featured characters accessible via Chartered HH Permits. For beginners, the “New Horizons Headhunting”banner allows for up to 40 pulls, ensuring players will receive one of the following characters: Ardelia, Ember, Last Rite, Lifeng, or Pogranichnik.
Progressing Through the Main Story
As you advance through the main storyline of Arknights: Endfield, the following characters become available for free:
- Bead
- Chen Qianyu
- Wulfgard
Bond Quota Exchange

The Bond Quota Exchange allows players to spend the Bond Quota currency accumulated from pulling on banners to acquire a character’s Employment Contract. The roster of available characters rotates every few weeks, so regular checks are advisable, as Employment Contracts can also be utilized to enhance characters already in your possession.
Participation in Events
So far, events have included login bonuses and pre-registration rewards, but as Arknights: Endfield expands, more engaging challenges likely await players to unlock additional characters. Following the game’s launch, players can secure Snowshine by claiming pre-registration milestone rewards via their mail, and Ardelia will be available for free after a three-day login period.
