Battlecrest Slope Encounters in Where Winds Meet

Battlecrest Slope Encounters in Where Winds Meet

For players aiming for 100% completion of Battlecrest Slope in the Qinghe region of Where Winds Meet, a common hurdle is the inability to initiate two specific Encounter missions. Despite diligently searching for all Oddities and engaging in various side activities, full completion remains elusive without the completion of the following quests:

  1. Little Master’s Legacy
  2. Recipe’s Heir

Little Master’s Legacy in Where Winds Meet

How to Initiate Little Master’s Legacy Quest

Enemy camp in Where Winds Meet

To set off the Little Master’s Legacy quest, players must first clear enemy camps within the Battlecrest Slope area. Look for clusters of three to four enemies gathered around a lit campfire, typically guarding a chest.

Upon successfully defeating the enemies at a camp, there is a possibility that an Encounter pop-up will appear. This will spawn an NPC named Xiao Ping’an near the cleared camp, prompting you to demonstrate a specific weapon move for him.

Walkthrough for Little Master’s Legacy 1-4

Walkthrough step for Little Master’s Legacy
  • Little Master’s Legacy 1: Perform Noname Sword’s Daunting Strike for Xiao Ping’an.
  • Little Master’s Legacy 2: Execute the Strategic Sword’s Inner Track Slash move (this requires unlocking the Strategic Sword).
  • Little Master’s Legacy 3: Showcase Stormbreaker Spear’s Storm Roar move.
  • Little Master’s Legacy 4: A villager will inform you that Xiao Ping’an no longer considers you his disciple, but will present you with a Peace Spear in apology.

Upon finishing these tasks, the Little Master’s Legacy quest chain will be marked as complete.

Location of Xiao Ping'an in Where Winds Meet

Players can visit Xiao Ping’an in a cave near the Verdant Wilds river (as shown in the image above) to delve deeper into his backstory, although this is not a requirement for quest completion.

Enemy Camps Respawn Timing

The encounters associated with Little Master’s Legacy follow a randomized pattern. It is possible to clear all enemy camps in Battlecrest Slope without triggering the final Encounter. If this is the case, you will need to wait for the Daily Reset at 4:00 PM EST to refresh your world state and respawn the enemy camps.

Please note that using the in-game timer will not affect enemy camp respawn; you must wait for real-time events such as Daily or Weekly Resets to regenerate these locations.

To ignite the Recipe’s Heir quest, players must consume all 10 regional specialty dishes from Qinghe available in Where Winds Meet. These unique dishes can be acquired from various food vendors listed below:

Troubleshooting the Recipe’s Heir Encounter

Give Up Encounter option in Where Winds Meet

In some cases, even after eating all 10 Qinghe specialty dishes, the Recipe’s Heir quest may still not activate. This was encountered during our gameplay, and here are steps that can help resolve the issue and allow the Encounter pop-up to appear:

  • Open your Journal (J), navigate to the Encounters Tab, and either Give Up (T) on all active Encounters or complete them to reset the log.
  • Increase Affection with two food stall owners to a maximum of 100.
  • Re-purchase and consume all 10 Qinghe food items.
  • Stand in front of Yuan Xianxian’s food stall at Heaven’s Pier and buy and consume three extra dishes.

Some players have noted that waiting in real-time for approximately 20 minutes until the food buff timer expires could potentially trigger the quest, though this remains unverified. Additionally, claims that having an Elegance level above 120 is required to initiate the quest have been debunked, as we successfully triggered the Recipe’s Heir quest with just 42 Elegance.

After successfully initiating the quest, follow the markers for a series of tasks that culminate in preparing a dish for a renowned chef in Qinghe. Here’s how to proceed:
