Leading motherboard manufacturers are increasingly responsive to the reported failures of Ryzen 9000 CPUs on 800-series motherboards. Following ASRock’s acknowledgment of these CPU issues, ASUS has also addressed the situation. In a recent statement, the company responded to ongoing concerns about malfunctioning CPUs and affirmed its collaboration with AMD to investigate these critical issues. This proactive approach from ASUS isn’t unexpected, especially after ASRock rolled out several BIOS updates just two days earlier.

According to a report from @unikoshardware, ASUS has introduced fresh BIOS updates specifically targeted at its AM5 motherboards within the 800-series lineup. Meanwhile, ASRock has made similar updates available for some of its 600-series motherboards. These updates similarly feature the latest AMD AGESA 1.3.0.0a firmware, mirroring the recent releases from ASRock. However, unlike ASRock, ASUS has not specified what improvements these updates will bring; nonetheless, based on ASRock’s release notes, we can anticipate enhancements that bolstering CPU stability.

Despite these updates, the root causes of the CPU failures remain unclear, with neither AMD nor its motherboard partners providing definitive information. Additionally, users should be mindful that these BIOS updates are currently in the Beta phase, meaning stability is not yet assured.
