CM Punk attends major show outside of WWE

Despite currently being out of action due to a torn triceps, 45-year-old CM Punk was seen at a non-WWE wrestling event today. Fans can expect to see him make an appearance at WrestleMania XL this weekend.

After being released by All Elite Wrestling in September of last year, the contentious star had plenty to share about the company just this past week. Despite his unfavorable departure from AEW, he received a warm reception from fans when he made his comeback to WWE at Survivor Series 2023.

Despite being slated to headline his first WrestleMania, he was struck by the injury bug during the Men’s Royal Rumble match. Suffering a torn triceps, he will be sidelined for the foreseeable future. However, he will still be involved in the event as a guest commentator for the World Heavyweight Championship match between Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL.

Today marks the highly anticipated GCW Bloodsport X event where Shayna Baszler is set to compete. In addition, fans have caught a glimpse of CM Punk in the audience, as shown in the post below.

Former WWE wrestler apologizes to CM Punk for past comments

Despite not being close friends, AJ Styles has expressed his desire to collaborate with CM Punk, stating that he would love the opportunity to work with the seasoned veteran.

During an appearance on The Ringer Wrestling Show at WWE World, Styles discussed Punk’s comeback to the company. He acknowledged having connections with All Elite Wrestling and initially expected some complications upon Punk’s return. However, he admitted his assumptions were incorrect and remarked on how content Punk seems to be in the company.

“Past performance predicts future behavior, right? Some over at AEW are my best friends. Love ’em, trust ’em, know ’em. I was expecting a problem when he came here and I was wrong. The guy looks like he is happy to be here. He looks like the guy that I want to step in the ring with and tear the house down with,”he said.

Despite being injured, CM Punk remains a target for Drew McIntyre, who has not stopped taking jabs at him. The future plans of WWE involving these two talented stars are highly anticipated.
