Cheats for Royalty & Legacy in The Sims 4

The latest expansion for The Sims 4, titled Royalty & Legacy, brings an exciting blend of themes from some of the most beloved mods, while also revisiting the essence of the fan-favorite spin-off, The Sims Medieval. If your gameplay previously lacked the captivating intrigue reminiscent of a Game of Thrones saga, this addition promises to enhance your life simulation experience.

In this expansion, the aristocratic dynasties are fully equipped to showcase their talents in swordplay, justify their leisure with the mantra that nobility is indeed a job, and advance their family line through the new Dynastic Prestige perk tree. Despite these features, you may find that your initial game setup doesn’t seamlessly allow for legacy-building from scratch.

To help you dive into the most engaging aspects of this expansion, we have compiled a comprehensive list of all the cheats currently available in The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy.

Utilizing Cheats in The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy

Before you unleash the power of cheats in The Sims 4, it’s crucial to activate the testing cheats feature. Although not every cheat requires this, most will function properly only after it’s enabled.

To activate testing cheats, press Ctrl + Shift + C on your PC/Mac, or simultaneously press all four shoulder buttons if you’re using Xbox or PlayStation.

Once the cheat console pops up, type testingcheats true. After executing this command, you should see a notification confirming that cheats are enabled. You are now free to enter any subsequent cheats by typing them in and hitting enter.

If you wish to disable testing cheats upon completion, simply open the console again and input testingcheats false, which will prompt a notification confirming the deactivation.

Using console or debug cheats in TS4 is generally a safe practice, as these tools are embedded in the game by the developers. However, there’s always a slight chance of encountering unexpected issues, so it’s wise to back up your game saves regularly for peace of mind.

Careers in The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy

The Noble career introduced in this expansion stands out in its unique mechanics compared to other professions in TS4. While active careers (those requiring players to accompany their Sims during work hours) are more common now, the noble career comes with stringent prerequisites. To embark on this elite path, your Sim must be knighted by an existing noble, research a forgotten noble lineage, or purchase a throne. Of course, you can also opt for a quicker route through cheats!

The cheat for joining the Noble career is relatively less common given the usual simplicity of joining careers through your Sim’s phone. Here’s how to instantly enter the prestigious noble profession:

Unlike many other careers, Nobles do not have branching pathways during their progression. Their unique features include gender-specific noble titles and corresponding title updates for spouses and offspring, reflecting their family status.

If you’re looking to manipulate your Sims’ titles, employ these cheats to position them appropriately within the noble hierarchy:

  • careers.promote Noble
  • careers.demote Noble

Skills in The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy

Among the new features included in Royalty & Legacy, only one major skill has been introduced: swordsmanship. This high-status hobby offers 10 levels of progression, making it a significant addition to any adult Sim’s resume.

If you prefer to bypass the grind and elevate your Sims’ skills instantly, use the following command, replacing [X] with the desired skill level from 1 to 10:

Stats. Set_Skill_Level Major_Swordsmanship [X]

Trait Cheats in The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy

While the traditional traits associated with posh characters are familiar from previous iterations, Royalty & Legacy also introduces a few new reward traits worth noting. Currently, some of these traits can be added through cheats, while others are still under investigation:

Dynasty Prestige & Unity Cheats in The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy

The new Dynasty Prestige & Unity perk tree is a notable feature accessible exclusively to Sims belonging to a Dynasty, which corresponds to the Social Groups tab. While these dynasties resemble clubs or organizations, the perk tree functions similarly to those found in occult characters such as Vampires or Werewolves. Naturally, we don’t intend to imply that Dynasties are akin to malevolent creatures!

In gameplay, accruing Dynasty Prestige simulates the gradual ascent through noble ranks; however, unlike the more fanciful occult perks, the Dynastic tree is characterized by mundane numerical gradations rather than imaginative titles.

If you prefer to expedite your ascent, simply enter the following code, substituting [X] with the necessary amount of Perk Points to reach your chosen level:

stats.set_stat rankedStatistic_Dynasty_Prestige [X]

  • Level 1: 100
  • Level 2: 450
  • Level 3: 1350
  • Level 4: 3300
  • Level 5: 6700
  • Level 6: 11100
  • Level 7: 16100
  • Level 8: 21100
  • Level 9: 26100
  • Level 10: 31100

Upon reaching Level 10, Dynasty members are encouraged to continue accumulating Perk Points to fully unlock the perk tree.
