Blizzard Entertainment Unveils Exciting Showcase Events for 35th Anniversary

Blizzard Entertainment is gearing up for a series of engaging showcases as part of its Next Chapter, celebrating 35 years of gaming excellence. Over the next two weeks, fans can look forward to detailed presentations covering the company’s most iconic franchises: World of Warcraft, Diablo, Hearthstone, and Overwatch.

According to a recent blog post on Blizzard’s official website, “We’re kicking off 2026 with the Blizzard Showcase, a collection of developer-led presentations that will feature exciting announcements, exclusive previews, and tantalizing teasers across our universes.”This celebration also honors the talented artists, creators, and gamers who have contributed to making Blizzard’s community vibrant and dynamic.

To initiate the string of showcases, Blizzard will host a World of Warcraft: State of Azeroth event set for Friday, January 29, 2026, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BT. A tweet from the official World of Warcraft account indicates that viewers can expect a detailed roadmap for both modern and classic game versions, a new Dark Portal housing item, and potential updates regarding the much-anticipated Midnight expansion, following a recent pre-launch update.

Upcoming Showcase Dates

Following the kickoff on January 29, Blizzard will present an Overwatch Spotlight on February 4, 2026, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET / 6 PM BT, where key developments for the Overwatch franchise will be unveiled. This will be closely followed by a Hearthstone Spotlight five days later, scheduled for 9:30 AM PT / 12:30 PM ET / 5:30 PM BT, highlighting the future of Hearthstone. The series will close with the Diablo 30th Anniversary Spotlight, occurring on February 11, 2026, at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM BT.
