According to a recent report from PC Watch, the Japanese market is seeing a dramatic uptick in hardware costs, driven primarily by the escalating prices of DRAM and GPUs. The latest component to join this trend is the CPU, which is experiencing significant price markup.

The report identifies several models within the Ryzen 9000 series that are experiencing substantial price hikes this month, with some CPUs increasing by over 50 percent. Below are notable examples of affected Ryzen models:

  • Ryzen 7 9700X – 59, 800 Yen (+57.4% Increase)
  • Ryzen 9 9900X – 79, 500 Yen (+37.1% Increase)
  • Ryzen 5 9600X – 44, 480 Yen (+22.6% Increase)
