Alone in the Dark – How to Unlock the Secret Scene in the Attic

The latest version of Alone in the Dark has arrived, however the game still retains its classic survival horror elements, featuring numerous puzzles, secrets, and enigmas to uncover.

Please note that although this article does not delve into specific details of the ending, there are some inevitable SPOILERS mentioned below.

Besides its five different endings (learn how to unlock all of them here), the new Alone in the Dark also features a hidden scene in the attic that offers a unique perspective on a crucial moment involving Jeremy Hartwood. Similar to the game’s multiple endings, this scene can be unlocked by collecting a set of three “Lagniappes,”which are special bonus items in Alone in the Dark. The Lagniappe set of the Hartwood Curse includes Alone in the Dark, Discarded Palette, and Witness the Black Pharaoh items.

• The location of Alone in the Dark is in the safe inside the Clerk’s Office. If you are aware of the combination (left 9, right 1, left 3), you can obtain it early on in the game.

• Palette Found – During the Hateful Mound sequence in Chapter 2, locate it on the second floor of the Bridge House. Before exiting through the window, maneuver through a narrow space between boxes and barrels to discover it.

• Don’t miss the chance to see the Black Pharaoh. After finishing the Pregzt Shipping Company section in Chapter 3 and making your way to the theatre, make a quick stop. On the right side of the theatre, there is a small area where you can find the Black Pharaoh poster displayed on the wall.

After gathering all of the aforementioned items, proceed to interact with the noose located in the attic during Chapter 4.

And with that, you have just added another small detail to the story of Alone in the Dark.
