The Cult Honoring the Voids

In the original A Tale of Perishing, Luke defeats the Ultimate Void only to realize it was his close companion, Memerun. This transformation remains clouded in ambiguity. However, as Natsuko conducts her investigation with Luke, she uncovers Memerun conducting a ritual honoring the Voids.
The Void cult convenes in a hidden cave below the Last Town’s cemetery, where flames illuminate their ceremonies. They chant hymns, glorifying the Ultimate Void and contemplating its chaotic arrival. What fuels such devotion? Memerun’s backstory indicates that many cultists are engulfed in grief, particularly seen in the aging elven community from which Memerun hails.
During the climax of Episode 4, Memerun offers herself to the Ultimate Void, tying back to the original film’s plotline.
