Zelda: Complete Dampe Walkthrough for Echoes of Wisdom Automation Engineer
The recently launched Nintendo title, Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, offers players approximately 30-35 hours of engaging gameplay. If you consider yourself a completionist, be prepared to tackle up to 50 side quests, one of which is the significant Automation Engineer Dampe quest. Completing this quest is highly recommended, as you’ll be rewarded with an Automation following your success.
Automations play a vital role in the gameplay experience. These mini robots can assist you significantly during battles. If you require repairs or upgrades for your Automations, you’ll want to visit Dampe’s Studio. Although the game is relatively straightforward, newcomers to the franchise may find the Automation Engineer Dampe quest a bit challenging.
Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – Automation Engineer Dampe Guide
To initiate this quest, ensure that you have completed both the Hyrule Castle dungeon and the Still Missing quest from the main storyline. Once these tasks are accomplished, head north of Hyrule Ranch and turn towards the fields on your right. As you enter, a brief cutscene will play, showing a crow that has stolen Dampe’s key.
Your objective is to retrieve the key from the crow. You can use several echoes to assist you, such as the Ignizol Echo, which can burn the crow down. After recovering the key, proceed to Dampe’s Studio located in the Eastern Hyrule Field area. Upon arrival, Dampe will reward you with five pumpkins and explain the mechanics of Automation.
To complete this side quest, you must show him two specific echoes: Tektite and Mothula. If you do not have these echoes, here’s how to obtain them:
- To find Tektite, search in Hyrule Field near Hyrule Ranch.
- To collect Mothula, head to the Gerudo Sanctum during the ‘A Rift in Gerudo Desert’ main story quest.
Once you present both echoes to Dampe, you will receive your first Automation of the game.
After completing this side quest, Dampe will gift you the Tektite Automation, which will effectively blast enemies during combat. If your Automation malfunctions or requires an upgrade, you can return to his studio for repairs using money or monster stones.
