The subscription costs have surged in over 10 countries. In Switzerland, for instance, the Family plan now costs approximately 39.88 USD.

A Reddit user from Sweden shared a screenshot of a notification indicating a staggering 60% price increase. However, this notification suggested the uptick might be due to taxes associated with payments made through Apple rather than directly through Google.

A user from Denmark commented, “This increase makes YouTube by far the most expensive streaming service, outpacing what I pay for Amazon Prime, Netflix, and HBO combined.”
