“You will ride eternal, shiny, and chrome”: LEGO Fortnite player makes Doof Wagon from Mad Max

The LEGO version of Fortnite has proven to be a vast and demanding world where players can either test their survival skills or unleash their imagination, enabling them to construct not only stunning original structures but also famous vehicles and buildings from beloved franchises. This was demonstrated in a recent Reddit post by u/whiskey_epsilon, where they shared a clip of their impressive recreation of the Doof Wagon from the hit film ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’.

In the Reddit video, the player featured their take on the Doof Wagon, using a flatbed truck, one of the recently added vehicles in the latest LEGO Fortnite v29.10 Mechanical Mayhem update, as the foundation. The player successfully assembled speakers and various items on the truck’s flatbed, resulting in the iconic and grand look of the Doof Wagon.

To further enhance the detailing, u/whiskey_epsilon also had their friend positioned on the top of the truck, performing the Rock Out emote to mimic scenes from the movie. This resulted in another reference being made in the caption, with u/whiskey_epsilon mentioning:

“You will ride eternal, shiny, and chrome!”

As the Reddit video gained popularity among the LEGO Fortnite community, players were quick to join in on the references to the famous action film. Users on Reddit, such as u/ogr3b4ttl3 and u/TartHot6215, added their own lines to the dialogue accompanying the Doof Wagon. Additionally, u/twylaken also joined in on the joke.

Despite the lighthearted tone, some Reddit users, including u/JRokx and u/yaya5000o, took a moment to praise u/whiskey_epsilon for their impressive LEGO Fortnite creation of the Doof Wagon. In fact, u/JustSand was so impressed that they requested a tutorial on how to replicate the structure in-game.

Unlocking Drivable Vehicles in LEGO Fortnite

Upon the launch of the v29.10 update, Epic Games incorporated vehicles into the LEGO game mode, enabling players to obtain various types of vehicles in their LEGO worlds for different purposes. Currently, there are three vehicles available for players to obtain in the LEGO game mode: The Speeder, The Offroader, and The Hauler, as of the time of writing.

Each of the three vehicles has a unique purpose, as the Speeder offers great mobility, the Offroader can accommodate multiple passengers, and the Hauler enables players to transport large amounts of materials.

In order to obtain these vehicles, players must unlock their build recipes while playing the game. Once the recipe is unlocked, they can access the Builds menu in the LEGO Fortnite UI to construct the vehicles for themselves.
