“You Lied Again” – Love is Blind’s Taylor Confronts Garrett Over Texting His Ex

The latest episodes of Love is Blind Season 7 premiered on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, showcasing episodes 10 and 11, which followed the remaining couples as they approached their wedding dates.

In Episode 10, titled “The Text From An Ex,”tension arose between Garrett and Taylor. During a pivotal moment, Garrett revealed to his fiancée that he had received a text from an ex-girlfriend. He insisted that he had merely liked the message on Instagram. As they prepared to attend a group event, Taylor advised him to clearly communicate to any women from his past that he was engaged.

She expressed her discomfort with the idea of him leaving such messages unread, or worse, liking them. Garrett acknowledged her feelings, explaining that he simply did not know how to respond and had largely forgotten about the message afterward.

As the episode progressed, Garrett confided in Taylor, Tyler, and Ashley that he had actually replied to the ex-girlfriend’s message, which infuriated Taylor. Overwhelmed, she left the discussion in tears, confronting him later about his dishonesty. She told him she felt “livid.”

“You lied again,”she said.

Garrett defended himself, stating that he had not actually liked the response but had previously told Taylor he ignored the message, creating a contradiction in front of others when he later admitted he had replied.

“Those are facts”— Taylor calls out Garrett for deceit in Love is Blind Season 7 Episode 10

During a discussion in Episode 10, Garrett disclosed to Ashley and Tyler that his ex, from six and a half years ago, had texted him the night prior, and he had responded. Tyler inquired about his response, to which Garrett claimed he had “just liked it.”The conflicting statements confused Taylor, who pressed him about whether he actually replied.

As he attempted to justify himself, Taylor remarked that it felt “different.”She requested to see his phone, but Garrett said he could retrieve it later for her to check.

“So, I texted her back, and like, just said, ‘Hey, I didn’t tell you this, but I met someone. I’m engaged.’ and basically, ‘I don’t think we should be messaging anymore. I hope you have a great life. See ya later.’ Something like that,”Garrett explained.

Taylor reminded Garrett that just hours before, he had claimed to have merely liked the message. Frustrated, she noted that he was telling everyone he had responded. She wanted clear communication about what transpired. When Garrett insisted he did respond, Taylor reiterated that his earlier statement did not match what he was now saying. This revelation led her to walk away distressed and later confront him again.

As they left the gathering, Garrett sensed Taylor’s displeasure and she expressed that she was “livid”due to his dishonesty. He admitted he couldn’t recall his exact words and acknowledged they had not revisited their earlier conversation.

Taylor reminded him that they had discussed this before arriving at the event, highlighting how she found it odd that he liked the message, which created ambiguity in their relationship. Garrett claimed he had not thought to relay the details to her directly.

“I will get past you not fully thinking about this, but then the fact that your story completely changed in front of other people, how is that not upsetting?”Taylor asked.

Garrett noted that Taylor indicated there was a distinction between merely liking a message and providing a verbal response. He expressed his belief that there wasn’t much of a difference and apologized for overlooking that “detail.”

“Those are facts. Those are not details. I want to be very f*cking clear. Those are facts versus details,”she asserted.

She reminded him that she had stated she would only introduce him to her family if she was “200%”certain about him. She expressed uncertainty about their relationship after this incident.
