He expressed the belief that his children deliberately distanced themselves from him as a form of punishment for his marriage to Robyn.

Kody stated that relationships require mutual effort. He indicated that until he observes a willingness from his children to rectify their fractured connections, he would refrain from feeling solely accountable for their estrangement.

Nonetheless, he emphasized that parent-child relationships should be reciprocal, declining to chase after his children to fix their strained bond. Kody informed Robyn that he planned to take his time in reconnecting with those family members.
