Yooka-Laylee: Complete Guide to Rextro Arcade Play Token Locations

Mini-games offer an exciting diversion in gaming, and Playtonic has elevated this concept significantly with the introduction of Rextro’s arcade titles found within Yooka-Replaylee. This game not only provides an exceptional gaming experience but also features a retro-style platformer embedded in specific areas, enhancing its appeal.

One of the standout aspects of these Rextro games is their reward system, allowing players to earn Pagies. Each arcade game offers three Pagies, and with eight distinct Rextro levels available, that totals to a rewarding 24 extra Pagies just by mastering these entertaining challenges. However, before you dive into these games, be prepared to pay an entry fee.

To access Rextro’s arcade, players must collect Play Tokens scattered throughout the main levels. In total, there are five tokens, which can be cleverly concealed. If you’re having difficulty finding them, I’m here to help simplify the search process. Note that I won’t detail the exact locations of the arcade cabinets as they are typically very close to the tokens themselves—making them easy to find once you locate the tokens.

Don’t forget to check the arcade situated in Hivory Towers, located on the path between the game’s second and third levels. As you gather Play Tokens, you’ll unlock additional levels within this arcade, paving your way to achieving the full Pagie count of 24 from the Rextro challenges. Completing all of Rextro’s levels will also yield three trophies, giving players an added incentive.

1. Tribalstack Tropics

Your first Play Token in Tribalstack Tropics can be found by heading to the designated map marker. Remember to descend to the bottom of the empty moat in this vicinity.

Once at the base of the pit, look for a conspicuous hole in the wall, which will lead you to your token along with bonus quills for your effort. Don’t forget to deliver the token to the arcade cabinet located just above the moat.

2. Glitterglaze Glacier

This token is a bit more challenging to obtain. Begin at the map marker that indicates the entrance to the Icymetric Palace.

Navigate through the unblocked paths until you confront the palace’s boss. Once you defeat the boss, previously blocked routes will become accessible. Proceed to the room filled with falling spikes, and take the door on your left.

Here, you will find Rextro’s secret hideout. Enter the door at the back of this room, where a slew of tokens awaits. Only one token is genuine, so test each by kicking until you discover the correct one.

3. Moodymaze Marsh

This token is relatively simple to find. Navigate to the lake marked on the map and dive into the water.

Swim to the indicated location where you will discover a crate. Break the crate open to reveal your next Play Token.

4. Capital Cashino

For the Capital Cashino token, head to the specified spot above.

Near Rextro’s arcade cabinet, you’ll find a small red slot machine. Use the switches in front of the machine to perform a Buddy Slam and align three Yooka-Laylee icons in a row. Successfully doing this will cause the token to emerge from the machine for you to collect.

5. Galleon Galaxy

The final token is located in Galleon Galaxy. Look for the island shaped like an X on the west side of the map—after all, X marks the spot!

At the center of the X shape, you’ll notice a shadow on the ground. Instead of digging for treasure, you’ll need to pop the balloon suspended above. This action will drop the treasure chest containing the last Rextro token. Utilize any nearby cloud box to momentarily fly and hit the balloon to pop it.
