Xilonen is an exciting new 5-star Geo character in Genshin Impact, hailing from Natlan’s Children of Echoes tribes. She serves as an exceptional support unit, offering considerable utility. Xilonen has the ability to reduce the Elemental Resistance of enemies based on the elements of her party members, in addition to providing healing. Furthermore, she excels in exploration thanks to her unique Elemental Skill.
As a new character, many players may be curious about whether they should pull for her. This article will provide a brief overview of Xilonen’s kit and her meta value in Genshin Impact.
Genshin Impact Xilonen’s Kit, Mechanism, and Meta Value Explained
Xilonen’s Kit and Mechanism
Normal Attacks
In her normal state, Xilonen delivers standard Normal Attacks comprising three swift strikes. Her Charged Attack enables her to execute a forward kick after consuming a certain amount of Stamina.
While in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, Xilonen’s Normal Attacks perform up to four kicks using her roller blades, but Charged Attacks are unavailable. Additionally, her Normal and Plunging Attack in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state are influenced by her DEF, dealing Geo DMG that cannot be overridden.
Elemental Skill
Upon activating her Elemental Skill, Xilonen accrues Nightsoul Points and enters the Nightsoul’s Blessing state. This enhances her mobility, allowing her to easily scale mountains and pause mid-climb to survey her surroundings, making her ideal for exploration, especially within Natlan.
Xilonen’s Elemental Skill also grants her three Samplers, which are initially Geo by default. However, for each Pyro/Cryo/Electro/Hydro party member present, one Sampler will transform into the corresponding element. For instance, if Mualani is part of the team, one Sampler will change color to blue, indicating the Hydro element. These Samplers are displayed next to her Nightsoul Blessing meter.
When hitting an enemy with two Normal Attacks while in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, Xilonen fully restores her Nightsoul points. This action also activates the Samplers and reduces the relevant Elemental Resistance of the enemy by up to 36% at C0. If her Samplers are Ge, a continuous Geo Elemental Resistance reduction effect will be provided.
Elemental Burst
Upon using her Elemental Burst, Xilonen deals AoE Geo DMG aligned with Nightsoul, scaling with her DEF. Moreover, her Elemental Burst possesses two different effects based on her party members’ elements.
If Xilonen has at least two Samplers that are not Geo, she will heal nearby active units at regular intervals. Conversely, if she has at least two Geo Samplers, she will inflict two additional instances of AoE Geo DMG aligned with Nightsoul.
Xilonen’s Meta Value
From a meta perspective, Xilonen ranks among the top characters in Genshin Impact and can stand shoulder to shoulder with Kazuha. She can decrease opponents’ Elemental Resistance by up to 36% at C0, depending on her party composition. Additionally, she boosts the survivability of the team by healing the active unit.
Equipping Xilonen with Natlan’s newly introduced Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City artifact set allows her to provide considerable damage buffs to her teammates, making her a versatile addition to many teams in Genshin Impact. In many instances, she offers more flexibility than Kazuha and can perform similar functions in battle, although she lacks crowd control abilities.
Even outside battles, Xilonen proves to be immensely valuable, enhancing exploration with her rollerblading abilities while in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state. Importantly, she is also F2P-friendly, as one of her best weapons is a craftable 4-star Sword available from Natlan.
Conclusively, pulling for Xilonen is highly advisable, especially for players seeking a robust support unit without Kazuha on their roster.
