Xiaomi XRING 01 Benchmark Results on AnTuTu: Independent Tests Reveal 13% Slower Performance Than Claimed

During the official announcement of the XRING 01, Xiaomi shared notable AnTuTu benchmark results, showcasing a significant score of 3, 004, 137. However, like many tech companies, Xiaomi’s marketing presentations often embellish performance claims, leading independent reviewers to scrutinize these assertions. Shortly after the official claims, a review conducted on the XRING 01 revealed a score that was disappointingly 13% lower than Xiaomi’s touted performance.

Comparative Benchmark Performance Reveals Discrepancies

In an independent test utilizing AnTuTu V10, Chinese reviewer S. White reported a score of 2, 613, 424 for the XRING 01. This deviation highlights a crucial factor: real-world testing conditions can significantly impact device performance. Influences such as ambient temperature play a vital role in the thermal management of components—including Xiaomi’s proprietary chipset. Given these variables, the wide gap in benchmark scores raises concerns regarding the chipset’s capabilities.

Even more troubling is the fact that the XRING 01 failed to outpace competitors such as Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 in AnTuTu benchmarking. The Snapdragon 8 Elite charted an impressive score of 2, 954, 535, surpassing the XRING 01 by a substantial 13 percent. This is particularly noteworthy, as the Snapdragon 8 Elite is equipped with advanced custom Oryon cores, giving it a distinct performance advantage. In comparison, the Dimensity 9400, which boasts a similar architecture but lacks low-power cores, still managed to edge out the XRING 01.

It’s essential to acknowledge that the devices featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400 were not disclosed in the comparisons. This omission makes it difficult to fully assess the performance levels since different smartphones can implement varying cooling technologies that critically affect benchmark outcomes. Currently, the XRING 01 is only available in the Xiaomi 15S Pro and the Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra. Greater insight into its performance may become available through future teardown analyses, where we can better understand its thermals and performance capabilities.
