Exciting Features in the Xbox July Update
The Xbox team at Microsoft has unveiled a significant update for July, introducing a host of new functionalities to its gaming platforms. While the focus of this update is primarily on enhancements to the Xbox PC application, various upgrades to cloud gaming services are also being rolled out. Many of these enhancements were initially tested in the Insider program and are now polished and ready for all users.
Stream Your Own Game Feature
For members subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate, a noteworthy addition is the ability to stream supported games through the cloud, provided they own a copy via the Xbox store. This feature, accessible in the Cloud Gaming section of the Xbox PC app, significantly enhances the gaming experience by providing greater flexibility and accessibility.
Expanded Game Library
The streaming feature now supports over 250 games, with exciting titles recently added to the roster, including classics from the Assassin’s Creed series, popular LEGO games, and the iconic Saints Row collection. Anticipated upcoming titles set to join the lineup include RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business, Tetris Effect Connected, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. This enables players to oversee their gaming activities across various platforms, whether they are using a console, PC, or the cloud, offering a unified view of their gaming journey.

New Rewards Program
Additionally, Xbox has rolled out a new Rewards program within the PC app, accessible from the Home section. This feature, currently available only in select markets for users aged 18 and older, allows gamers to easily track their reward point accumulation, monitor progress, and discover ways to earn more points.
Retro Classics App Enhancements
Another exciting development is the expansion of the Retro Classics app, a collaboration between Xbox and Antstream Arcade, which is gaining seven new titles. Recent additions include classics such as Caesar, Conquests of Camelot: The Search for the Grail, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers, Hard Head, Okie Dokie, Skate Boardin’, and Skeleton+.
Improved Controls
Lastly, support for mouse and keyboard, as well as touch controls, continues to expand. Recently, Police Simulator: Patrol Officers received mouse and keyboard support, while South of Midnight added touch control functionality, enhancing gameplay options for users.
