With a promising lineup for 2025, titles such as Avowed and South of Midnight are generating buzz.Doom: The Dark Ages is scheduled for May, while another Obsidian title, The Outer Worlds 2, is also expected to arrive this year. These releases only scratch the surface, as Xbox has ambitious plans for future titles, including a reboot of Perfect Dark, a BioShock-inspired RPG named Clockwork Revolution, and Gears of War: E-Day.

During the latest Official Xbox Podcast, Duncan addressed concerns over the delay of Fable, assuring fans that there are still many exciting games yet to be unveiled this year. As anticipation builds, many Xbox first-party studios are poised to announce their upcoming projects. It’s been over three years since Double Fine released Psychonauts 2, leading fans to eagerly speculate about the next move from Tim Schafer’s team. Furthermore, Ninja Theory is also expected to provide updates on its forthcoming title. Obsidian typically engages smaller teams on indie projects like Grounded or Pentiment, which could also have news on the way.

Naturally, Xbox’s larger franchises are also worth noting. Furthermore, the potential announcements from studios under Bethesda and Activision Blizzard could add to the excitement surrounding Xbox’s showcase.
