
In a slight shift from its usual schedule, Microsoft has postponed its Xbox Game Pass news announcements to Wednesday this week, coinciding with the Build 2025 event. The latest updates promise exciting new additions to the Game Pass library, featuring highly anticipated titles such as Metaphor ReFantazio, Monster Train 2, and the acclaimed Ubisoft classic, The Division 2.
Upcoming Xbox Game Pass Releases for May 2025
The following titles are set to make their debut as the second wave of May, 2025:
- Monster Train 2 (available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – Release Date: May 21
- Creatures of Ava (available on Xbox Series X|S) – Release Date: May 22
- S. T.A. L.K. E.R.2 (available on Xbox Series X|S) – Release Date: May 22
- Tales of Kenzera: Zau (available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S, EA Play) – Release Date: May 22
- Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 (available on Cloud, Console, and PC) – Release Date: May 27
- To a T (available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – Release Date: May 28
- Metaphor ReFantazio (available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – Release Date: May 29
- Spray Paint Simulator (available on Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) – Release Date: May 29
- Crypt Custodian (available on Cloud, Console, and PC) – Release Date: June 3
- Symphonia (available on Cloud, Console, and PC) – Release Date: June 3
Among these titles, Monster Train 2, To a T, and Spray Paint Simulator will be available on the day of their release at no additional cost to subscribers.

Alongside the new Game Pass additions, Microsoft is enriching its Xbox Cloud Gaming beta service, providing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members access to an expanded selection of classic games:

Games Departing from Xbox Game Pass
As new titles arrive, several games will be leaving the service. Microsoft has confirmed that Cassette Beasts, Firework, Humanity, Remnant 2, and Slayers X: Terminal Aftermath: Vengeance of the Slayer will no longer be available on Xbox Game Pass after May 31.
