Xbox Free Play Days adds five new games for Halloween fun

Microsoft is bringing back its Xbox Free Play Days initiative, allowing subscribers of Xbox Game Pass Core, Standard, and Ultimate tiers to dive into a selection of games during this Halloween weekend. In line with the festive spirit, many thrill-inducing titles have been incorporated as part of this special program.

This weekend, Xbox users can experience a range of titles including Predator: Hunting Grounds, Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. Although the last title isn’t particularly horror-themed, Ubisoft managed to include it in this lineup.

In Predator: Hunting Grounds, players engage in a multiplayer environment, choosing to either embody the legendary Predator or a team of mercenaries racing against time to achieve objectives before the alien catches them. Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed offers a similar asymmetrical experience, where players can either pursue as the ghost-hunting team or take on the role of a ghost intent on scaring civilians while dodging capture.

Killer Klowns from Outer Space: The Game presents a team dynamic as well, assigning players to either a group of clown antagonists with unique abilities or desperate humans trying to escape chaotic scenarios. Concluding the horror selection is The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, which features the notorious Leatherface and his family battling against survivors to see who can come out on top.

Meanwhile, The Division 2, courtesy of Ubisoft, invites players to navigate through a post-disaster Washington DC to restore order. Primarily styled as a cooperative RPG, it also includes PvP elements, challenging players to secure better loot amidst actual threats from others.
