WWE setting up Cody Rhodes for dramatic failure at WrestleMania, according to wrestling veteran (Exclusive)
Vince Russo, a former WWE writer, believes the company may once again be toying with Cody Rhodes.
The latest installment of RAW was broadcasted from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. The opening segment was electrified by The Rock and Roman Reigns, who delivered passionate promos. The Tribal Chief confidently declared his victory at WrestleMania and boldly stated that he would consider retiring if he were to lose to Cody.
During this week’s episode of Legion of RAW, Russo expressed his belief that WWE might once again act spitefully and deny Cody Rhodes a win. He highlighted Rhodes’ departure from WWE, his establishment of a new promotion, and his mocking of Triple H through a sledgehammer attack on a throne during an AEW event.
The experienced wrestler was apprehensive that WWE might deprive him of his WrestleMania moment once more.
Again, man, I’m telling you this all goes back to WWE games. You just don’t know if Cody is being set up. This is a guy that left the WWE to go start the AEW. He did the Triple H with the sledgehammer in the throne and all that stuff. You just don’t know with them, bro, you just don’t know.”[From 11:30 onwards]
The recent promo by Roman Reigns has sparked concerns about Cody Rhodes’ ability to complete his story before the end of the year. With The Bloodline continuously attacking Cody in recent weeks, it appears highly improbable that he will be able to finish his storyline.
