WWE RAW: Pat McAfee embarrassed Michael Cole in front of the entire world on April Fool’s Day; what did he do?
To celebrate April Fools, the commentator opted to pull a prank on his partner.
In a recently uploaded video by WWE, Pat McAfee once again took the opportunity to present a “McAfee Minute”during this week’s RAW commercial break. He expressed his gratitude to the Brooklyn fans for achieving the largest gate in the brand’s history and encouraged them to be excited for WrestleMania.
He later revealed that the evening held even more significance as it was Michael Cole’s birthday and encouraged the audience to join him in singing Happy Birthday to his partner. Despite his attempts to hide in embarrassment, the Voice of WWE could be seen with his hands over his face as McAfee led the crowd in the birthday song. However, to the surprise of some fans, it was not actually Cole’s birthday, as it fell on December 8, 1968.
Will Pat McAfee be the next commentator for WWE once Michael Cole retires?
Despite receiving a positive reception from fans for their entertaining dynamics and strong chemistry, Michael Cole and Pat McAfee have acknowledged that another current commentator could potentially replace Michael in their partnership.
In a recent interview with Awful Announcing, Cole revealed that he sees Corey Graves as a potential successor to his role. Having worked closely with him for years and giving him a chance, Cole praised the former NXT Tag Team Champion for his stellar performance and believes he has all the qualities to take over. He also noted that Graves has honed his commentary skills and is a strong candidate for his replacement in the future.
“Corey now has a Corey Graves Voice. A lot of the issues we had were that we tried to develop commentators to be Michael Cole,”Michael admitted. “Now we have a chance to develop Corey Graves. I truly, honestly believe he’s going to be the one to replace me. He’s an incredible human being. He has a great opportunity.”
What was the conclusion of this week’s WWE RAW?
The last episode of Monday Night RAW before WrestleMania concluded with an explosive finale. The main event featured a match between Seth Rollins and Solo Sikoa, during which Jimmy Uso unexpectedly interfered. Although Jey Uso was able to defend himself against his brother, he was later ambushed by The Rock.
The Brahma Bull persisted in assaulting Seth, but Cody Rhodes arrived to assist him. Roman Reigns then appeared to aid his cousin and joined in on the assault against their WrestleMania foes.
It would be intriguing to discover what other experiences await Pat McAfee and Michael Cole during their time with WWE.
