WWE planning to add major gimmick match to WrestleMania XL – Reports
In less than a week, WWE will host the 40th edition of WrestleMania. The finalization of the two-night schedule is currently underway, with the recent unveiling of new details for a highly anticipated match.
The feud between The Pride and The Final Testament has been ongoing for a few months. On SmackDown, Bobby Lashley, B-Fab, and The Street Profits have faced off against Karrion Kross, Authors of Pain, and Scarlett, building up to a potential showdown on the biggest stage of them all. It is evident that Triple H, a staunch supporter of factions, has heavily influenced the current creative direction.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the planned lineup for the six-man match at WWE has yet to be officially announced. The current plan is for Lashley, Montez Ford, and Angelo Dawkins to face off against Kross, Akam, and Rezar in a Philadelphia Street Fight. The company is expected to announce the details of the match soon.
There were speculations of WWE arranging a mixed match featuring B-Fab and Scarlett on opposing teams, but the company appears to have scrapped those plans. B-Fab, Scarlett, and Paul Ellering are anticipated to be present at ringside for the potential match.
Karrion Kross receives guidance from a veteran WWE wrestler
Karrion Kross is currently training hard in preparation for his highly anticipated WrestleMania debut in Philadelphia next weekend, determined to make a grand entrance at The Showcase of The Immortals.
For the past several months, The Herald of Doomsday has rallied his Final Testament stablemates to face off against Bobby Lashley and The Pride. As WrestleMania 40 approaches, they eagerly anticipate an intense and brutal showdown.
Following his defeat to The All Mighty on SmackDown, the former NXT Champion was spotted at the Downtown Orlando Boxing Club training alongside Matt Riddle and other wrestlers. Kross has previously trained with Orlando locals such as Shayna Baszler and Riddle.
Despite being released by WWE on September 22, 2023, Riddle continued to work for various companies such as NJPW, MLW, and other independent promotions. Throughout their extensive careers, The King of Bros and Kross have never had a match or partnered together. The only time they shared the ring was during the 2023 SummerSlam Battle Royal.
