WWE official throws ‘X’ symbol during a current champion’s match at recent event

During Oba Femi’s match against Joe Gacy this week, a WWE official made the “X”signal.

Despite the breakup of Schism, Gacy has struggled to find his place on the NXT roster and a reason to keep going. He engaged in a feud with Dijak for a period of time, but on the recent episode of WWE NXT, Gacy interfered in Shawn Spears’ match against Dijak. Surprisingly, instead of sabotaging Spears, Gacy actually aided him in the match.

During the latest episode of WWE NXT, Gacy was given a significant opportunity to face off against Oba Femi in a one-on-one match. However, before the match could officially start, Spears sneakily attacked Gacy with a steel chair while he was entering the ring. Despite this unexpected setback, Gacy persevered and went on to compete against Oba Femi.

Despite Gacy’s best efforts to resist, he was no match for the NXT North American Champion, Femi, who dominated the ring. In the midst of the match, Femi delivered a powerful Snake Eyes in the corner before slamming Gacy to the mat.

After examining Gacy, the referee raised his hands and made the well-known “X”gesture, typically used to indicate a real injury. The bell then sounded, and Femi was declared the winner.

The severity of Joe Gacy’s injury remains to be seen.
