WWE legend “liked” Rhea Ripley’s Stinkface, says he would have taken the move if asked
Despite the mixed reactions to Rhea Ripley’s Stinkface at a recent WWE live event, it appears that WWE legend Dutch Mantell was a fan.
WWE house shows differ from TV episodes in that the performers are afforded greater freedom to showcase their personalities and engage with the audience. These matches frequently include entertaining moments that might not be suitable for a broadcasted show.
At a recent live event in Springfield, Ripley took on Nia Jax and a video of her performing Rikishi’s famous Stinkface on the Samoan wrestler quickly gained popularity online. As a prominent member of Judgment Day, Ripley is well-known for her active presence on social media and showcased her skills in promoting the unexpected move from the house show.
After viewing the video on his podcast, Dutch Mantell concluded that it was extremely enjoyable.
“Now that is entertaining, I would say! I liked it!”said the former WWE manager. [From 54:54 to 55:00]

Throughout his extensive career in the wrestling industry, Dutch Mantell has always been known for his hard-hitting style in the ring, especially during his prime.
When questioned about his willingness to participate in a Stinkface, Mantell acknowledged that he would not do so willingly, but would comply if it was requested by his superiors.
“I wouldn’t volunteer for it, but if they said, ‘Hey, do it.’ Okay, it’s just part of the job. But if Rikishi did it to me, I’d have a little taser, I’d pull it out, that’s what I’d do! I’d protect myself (laughs).”[From 55:23 to 55:46]
Becky Lynch Reacts to Rhea Ripley’s Controversial Stinkface Move
In the last ten years, women’s wrestling has undergone significant growth as female wrestlers have demonstrated their abilities by delivering matches and storylines that are just as captivating as those of their male peers.
Rhea Ripley’s live event antics were met with disapproval from influential women’s revolution figure, Becky Lynch, among others.
During a recent interview, The Man expressed her belief that Ripley’s actions did not serve as a positive role model for young girls who may have aspirations of becoming professional wrestlers.
Lynch argued that Ripley’s choice to perform the Stinkface was misguided and worked against the progress of women’s wrestling, which had worked hard to distance itself from its controversial history.
Despite Rhea Ripley’s Stinkface gaining a lot of attention from fans, it appears that her WrestleMania 40 opponent is not pleased with the move.
