WWE drops major hint surrounding potential WrestleMania title change on RAW
The last WWE RAW before WrestleMania featured a huge tag team match involving The Judgment Day, The New Day, and DIY. During this match, Michael Cole dropped a significant hint about a possible title change at The Show of Shows.
Prior to the start of the match, Cole announced that the SmackDown and RAW Tag Team Championships would be suspended above the ring and the match would only conclude once both sets of titles were successfully obtained.
This suggests that there is a possibility for one team to win one set of titles while another team could obtain the second set. This would be an innovative approach for the company to officially divide the Tag Team Championships, putting an end to the months of speculation.
The Usos unified the titles over a year ago, but it seems that WWE is now regretting this decision and is looking to once again have separate championships for each brand.
Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis have been discussing a potential split for a few weeks now, as the championship titles have been a source of conflict between them. Instead of announcing it after WrestleMania, the company’s best option would be to hang the titles separately above the ring, effectively dividing them.
