The Old Man and the Whale event quest in Wuthering Waves is primarily about players enhancing their ships to capture larger fish. Unfortunately, a twist occurs when Brant inexplicably destroys the player’s vessel. As a result, repairing the Pequod becomes essential for participants aiming to complete the event missions, albeit at the cost of valuable materials and Fishery Coins.
As players progress, they can notice significant enhancements on their small boat, Rachel, alongside increasing their fame. This progression allows for upgrades that can be tested at various Fishing Spots located on Riccioli Island. Here, players can discover different types of fishing opportunities, including the renowned blue, purplish, and golden Legendary Fishing Spots in Wuthering Waves.
Legendary Fish Locations in Wuthering Waves
Riccioli Island boasts seven Legendary Fishing Spots, each harboring elusive fish found only within the game. Players can seek fish numbers 66, 67, 68, and 70 throughout the day, while fish numbers 69, 71, and 72 are exclusively available at night.
To access some of these spots, gather Sweet Puff from the Dock Shop, as it can be used to destroy the crystals blocking certain areas.
66 – Aureo Shark Location
To capture the Aureo Shark, teleport to Reyes Ruins Dock and head eastward along the shore. This fish is catchable at any time, but considering the timing restrictions of some other fish, it’s advisable to fish for it at night.
67 – Titanium Mackerel Location
The Legendary Fishing Spot for Titanium Mackerel is located southeast of Serene Bay. Players must use Sweet Puff to eliminate the obstructing crystals to access this location.
68 – Pink Hallowfin Location
The location for the Pink Hallowfin is situated beneath the southwestern arch of the mountain. Similar to prior locations, crystals will block access, necessitating the use of additional Sweet Puff.
69 – Pelagic Wyrm Location
To discover the final Legendary Fishing Spot on Riccioli Island, depart from the Port of Riccioli Dock and venture into the eastern waters at night. However, be cautious; the path towards fish 69 will elevate Rachel’s Threat Level, and encountering Ghost Medusa will reduce her durability.
70 – Draco Cobia Location
The Draco Cobia is among the hardest fish to locate, as it requires a Mysterious Complete Treasure Map to reveal its location on the map. After acquiring it, visit the northeastern side of Reyes Ruins at any time to try your luck at catching this elusive fish.
71 – Overlord Squid Location
To locate the Overlord Squid, row your boat from the previous fishing spot to a small island eastward. It’s crucial to ensure that it’s night to maximize your chances, as this area houses various fish alongside the 71st fish.
72 – Bogie Shrimp Location
Lastly, teleport back to Reyes Ruins Dock and travel southwest to fish for the Bogie Shrimp, which is required to unlock fish 72 in the Index. Remember, this shrimp can only be caught at night, so adjust your in-game time at the Dock if necessary.
