Wuthering Waves Quest Guide: The Last Knight Walkthrough

Wuthering Waves Quest Guide: The Last Knight Walkthrough

The Last Knight is an intriguing side quest available in the Rinascita region of Wuthering Waves. Although it does not feature the epic scale of the main storylines or expansive exploration missions, this quest offers players a unique perspective on life beyond Ragunna City, along with enticing rewards.

Compared to more complex quests like “Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms,”The Last Knight is straightforward and less time-consuming. Below is a concise guide for players seeking assistance in completing this quest.

Initiating The Last Knight Quest

To embark on The Last Knight quest, players must first complete Chapter 2, specifically the quest titled What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing. It is advisable to finish the main story before venturing into Rinascita, as many side quests remain inaccessible until Chapter 2 Act 3 is completed.

Once you have completed the requisite questline, make your way to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven. Look for Cosimo, who can be found near the first house adjacent to the town’s main thoroughfare, identifiable by a blue quest marker on your map.

Engaging with The Night Reveries

The Night Reveries represent a performance that honors a knight who reportedly defeated a giant in Whisperwind Haven. As part of this quest, players must participate actively by vanquishing the Mad Knight.

The Mad Knight will only make an appearance during nighttime hours. To find him, fast forward time to between 6 PM and 6 AM, then proceed to the central pool within the town. This enemy isn’t particularly challenging, so unleash your attacks until he is defeated.

Deciphering The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

Following the battle with the Mad Knight, locate the tallest tower in town, then glide to where Carlow awaits, as indicated by your quest marker. You’ll discover him unconscious next to a vibrant purple flower. Interacting with this flower will transport you to a separate dimension where your task is to identify which chests are mimics.

The first trio of chests you encounter are genuine, but in the next set, only one is real while the others are mimics. The actual chest you need is the second one located in the middle-left position. Successfully opening it rewards you with a substantial amount of Astrites and additional treasures, but be prepared, as you will face attacks from the mimics afterward. Defend yourself against them and continue your quest.

Uncovering The Knight’s Trail and The Strange Scent

Upon regaining your senses from the purple flower’s influence, you will need to visit various locations associated with the legendary Mad Knight. This section of the quest entails simply following the markers and interacting with NPCs.

A Chop Chop in WuWa

After conversing with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will bring attention to a peculiar smell nearby. Follow the marker leading uphill, where you will encounter an unusual Chop Chop accompanied by an invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. During this fight, we recommend equipping a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot, as it can deflect the Chop Chop’s strikes and stun it instantly.

Once the Chop Chop is defeated, Mr. Millkeeper will reveal the truth—that no legendary knight ever existed in Whisperwind Haven. Instead, it was he and his fellow Windmill Keepers who masqueraded as knights to safeguard the citizens. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.

Locating Carlow

Use teleportation or gliding to return to Egla Town during daylight hours, where you will find Carlow confronted by a couple of knights who ridicule him. Displaying newfound confidence, Carlow challenges one of the knights to a duel, abandoning his romanticized ideals of the Mad Knight and embracing the genuine role of a protector.

The quest concludes following Carlow’s duel challenge, with no further sequences to follow. Completing this quest rewards players with Union XP, Astrites, and valuable resources, marking The Last Knight as complete for the Tales of the Isles event.
